paper lining, buckram lining, leather band, linen tape, olive green
worsted wool hat band with black gross-grain ribbon, ivory silk faille
brim binding, 6 black glass beads.
Label: Gilt stamping inside crown:
"A. N. Cook & Co.215 & 217 Washington St. Boston".
Condition: Excellent. Slight wear to
ivory silk brim edge, two small brown stains at the top of the crown.
Measurements: Hat Size, aprx 7; Crown H,
6"; Brim, 2.25".
Comments: Historic, high quality and
rare. Exquisite tailoring details: beaded edging to the high hat band,
pierced top vent, and a pierced and ventilated sweatband for the
forehead area.
