#1959   Small Table Cover
   c. 1800-1820

United States

Materials: Fine linen cloth, linen thread embroidery and linen needlelace.

Provenance: From the family of Rebecca Kingsbury (b. 1713, d. 1807) of West Dedham, MA. She married Nathaniel Gay on April 10, 1740.

Condition: Excellent, one tiny pin hole in the linen ground.

Measurements: 20.5" across.

Comments: There are four different extremely fine, detailed drawn work lace fillings in the stars, squares and diamond patterns decorating this small candle stand sized table cover. The workmanship is of superior quality; the linen feels like silk!
