c. 1910-1920   Belgium

Materials:
Cotton net; handmade laces: linen and cotton thread.

Provenance: From the estate of Ralph and Ria Cooley, Westfield, MA. The Cooleys were owners of the Cooley & Noble Drum Factory in western Massachusetts, famous for supplying Drums to the Union army during the Civil War.

Condition: Excellent. There are a few pea sized faint brown stains near the veil's edge, barely noticeable.

Measurements: Oval Shape: 84" X 109".

Comments: Floral designs worked in Brussels bobbin lace were hand appliquéd onto the white net ground. The overall pointe d'esprit pattern is also hand embroidered. A lovely early Twentieth century antique wedding veil.
