Provenance: From the estate of Ralph and
Ria Cooley, Westfield, MA. The Cooleys were owners of the Cooley & Noble
Drum Factory in western Massachusetts, famous for supplying Drums to the Union
army during the Civil War.
Condition: Excellent. There are a few pea
sized faint brown stains near the veil's edge, barely noticeable.

Comments: Floral designs worked in
Brussels bobbin lace were hand appliquéd onto the white net ground. The overall
pointe d'esprit pattern is also hand embroidered. A lovely early Twentieth
century antique wedding veil.
