Materials: Off white linen threads; handmade
bobbin and needlelace, cotton reseau (net).
Condition: The lace design is in nearly
perfect condition, there are tiny faint tan stains at the inside edge of
the bertha. The net has several scattered holes in the front lower part
of the bertha in need of mending.

Comments: Handmade Brussels bobbin lace
and Point de Gaz needlelace motifs were appliquéd onto a net background
to create this delicate and dramatically beautiful turn of the century
bertha.
