Shep's book, "Corsets, A Visual History" on the reproduction page of Montgomery Ward & Co. catalog No. 57 from 1895. The text next to the picture reads, "36830 M. W. & Co's extra long waist, made expressly for us and guaranteed by us. It is the most original, best fitting, easiest and durable waist on the market. Once try a pair you will never wear any other kind. The busts are so designed they can be made any size.
