#2242   Silk Lingerie Set   c. 1930s 


Materials:
Negligee, Slip and Tap Pant:  Cream silk charmeuse, ecru lingerie lace, mother of pearl buttons.

Provenance: Set belonged to socialite Georgie Smith Young Ridgley Hebbard Wilkins. Georgie was born in San Francisco, c. 1906. She lived in Baltimore, New York City and Paris before moving to Beacon Hill, Boston where she lived for over 50 years until her death in 2001. Georgie bought her fine lingerie in Paris.

Condition: Perfect condition in all three pieces.

Measurements: B, 34"; W, 30"; H, 38"; Slip L, 52"; Negligee L, 59.5".

Comments: The three pieces of this beautiful lingerie set are all hand finished. The cream color has a rich glow to it and is perfectly set off by the revealing lace appliqués.
