charmeuse lining, metal hooks and thread covered eyes.

Condition: Excellent. The entire coat is
in near perfect condition, including the chiffon trim. Only the interior has slight wear: the collar
and yoke linings have been replaced and the label is quite worn.

Comments: This garment is an exquisite
example of the Art Nouveau design form. The entire coat is
decorated with embroidered silk lace lilies and leaves. These meandering
Art Nouveau flowers are semi-transparent, and the effect of the ivory
lining shining through the leaves and petals is enchanting. In the ivory
silk lining are two gathered pockets. Cascading down the front coat
opening are two wide pleated and ruched black silk chiffon scarves. Only
the finest and softest fabrics were used to create this luxurious and
beautiful coat.
