Salmon silk velvet cut to fine silk gauze.

Label: In original paper labeled cardboard box, "Liberty & Co. 3. Bould. Des Capucines PARIS" Written in ink on the box is "Paris 1923".

Condition: Scarf near perfect. There is one tiny 1/2" tear in the selvage edge. Cardboard box has torn corners.

Measurements: W, 31" X L, 94".

Comments: Beginning in the late 19th century and enduring to today is Liberty & Co.'s reputation as one of the world's the leading establishments for decorative arts. Arthur Liberty opened the House of Liberty (Liberty & Co.) at 218 Regent St. London in 1875, later opening a branch store in Paris. Liberty's silks are world-renowned and highly collectible. This scrumptious pale salmon oversized traveling scarf feels like pure luxury next to the skin. The main floral design is of roses and carnations tied with a bow. Roses with their thorn vines meander along the outer edges and rose blossoms are scattered throughout the scarf.
