Materials: Amber, blue, black navy,
green and white glass beads, cotton gauze, bronze silk faille lining,
glass mirror.
Label: Woven red on white,
"Made In Belgium".
Condition: Excellent. Some minor bead
loss, a few on handle and a couple of fringes missing; also some holes
(not visible) in gauze fabric under the fringes.
Measurements: Ht, 8"; Wd, 6".
Comments: The triple row of beaded
fringe on this flapper evening bag is unmistakably 1920s flapper
fashion. The beading is tiered on this cone shaped bag. At the bag's top
is a design of multi colored leaves. Fringed evening bags from the
roaring 20s are very hard to find. |
