#2524  Gold Brocade Tunic  c. 1920s 


Materials:
 
Ivory silk moiré faille with gold brocade, four gold metallic tassels, gold embroidered net lace, gold bobbin lace, four fabric covered wooden buttons, two gold spangles.

Provenance: Deaccessioned from a New England Historical Society.

Condition: Excellent, near perfect. Two buttons are missing gold spangles; fabric strong, no holes or repairs.

Measurements:  Wd, 46"; L, 41".

Comments: Bouquets of Deco roses, two types of handmade gold metallic lace and gold tassels decorate this magnificent garment. This versatile tunic can be worn in so many ways with virtually no size restrictions.
